Sexologist
I have a degree in social work, a bachelor's degree in sexology and am a member of the Professional Order of Sexologists of Quebec.
My life experiences led me to work extensively with adolescent clients, particularly in community and school settings. I now specialize in working with victims of crime, couples, and anyone experiencing sexual and relationship issues. Here are some examples of frequently discussed topics in sessions: self-esteem, body image, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction, managing affect and emotions, non-violent communication, etc. I use a trauma-sensitive, intersectional feminist, and diversity-inclusive approach.
I focus my interventions on developing empowerment, assertiveness, self-esteem, self-awareness, asserting boundaries, and relational needs. I firmly believe in the importance of welcoming, non-judgmental behavior, and respecting each person's pace. Ultimately, I believe that each person carries within them a capacity for personal growth and resilience.
